Ma Thida (San Chaung)

 
Ma Thida was born in 2nd September 1966,
 Yangon,Myanmar.
    She received her M.B.B.S (RGN) in 1990,Oct from the Institute of Medicine(1),Yangon,Myanmar and
 PG Diploma(Health Systems Management) in 2001-2004 from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
    She currently works as Assitant Suregon
 (Surgical ward), Muslim Free Hospital.She writes
 in Teen magazine & other periodicals. She is also
 the editor of ECHO Media.

Published works and readings:

"Thumb nail sketch on Burmese literature world
  1988 onwards", detailed work on all forms of literature-especially short stories with attached examples and background history of the Scrutiny board, was read by Mrs.Anna.J.Allot in 1993
 October at Northern Illonois University,USA.

All of this and nothing, PEN International
 Magazine vol.46,No 2 , 1996.

Short stories; " Soap bubbles", "The first", and "The rain is heaving" were translated into
 Japanese and published in World Literature 3 in March 1997. World literature Research Group of Osaka University of Foreign Studies published the book of compilation of varieties of literature forms such as short tories,articles,poems and etc; from
 all together 14 countries.

Novel;"True Color Sunflower " was distributed
 in September 1999 in Myanmar. A compilation of
 short stories that were previously published in various magazines.

"The sizzling sweet honey mud" was published
 in October 1999 in Myanmar.

Short story; " The old one-the new one"; the new one-the old one" was translated into Japanese Language and published with other 20 short
 stories of 20 Burmese female writers by Daido
 Seimei Foundation in October 2001.

Short story; "Nostalgic dreams of Pagan" will be published by UCLA's Ameriasia Journal on January 2003 issue.

 A compilation of thought -provoking articles from Teen Magazine; "One,Zero,Ten and for teen's reading " was published in September, 2004 issue.
 From 1985 to 1988 , about 60 short stories- being published in several magazines.

 From 1989 to 1993, 15 short stories had been published.

 From 1990 to 1991, she was a member of editors
 of the "Pyay Hpoo Hlwar" literary magazine.

 In 1994, she was being regonized by PEN American as an honorary member.

 In 1999 September , " A Yaung Sis Nay Kyar
 (True Color "Sun Flower") was distributed.

 Now, she is writing both articles and short stories both in Burmese and English.
