The Center of Contemporary Art Pispala calls for performance artists!
In August 2007, the Center of Contemporary Art Pispala is holding a two-day Performance Fiesta at Tampere, Finland. We are now searching for artists to perform their own art works.
The art at the Performance Fiesta can be anything on the range of performance, dance, experimental music and poetry. Short movies and video art pieces will also be shown. A short describtion of the work should be sent at moisseinen@kolumbus.fi, and a DVD copy of video works to the Center of Contemporary Art Pispala, Hirvikatu 10, 33240 Tampere, Finland, before the end of June.
The Center of Contemporary Art Pispala is governed by the Culture Association of Pispala. Hirvitalo is a three-store, old wooden house, located about three miles from the center of Tampere, between Pyynikinharju and Pyhäjärvi. The house has three spacious and well-lit rooms for exhibitions, two narrow and low attic rooms, two cellar rooms, a kitchen, an office, a sauna, a shed and a big front yard. The performances can be held in any space except the office and the kitchen.
