The workshop and exhibition is called "Ratas" (“Circle”). This exhibition is part of the Ratas- project that has been running since 2001.
The project will take place in Center of Contemporary Art Pispala, Finland through 28-07-2007 - 19-08-2007.
This artistic activity will be combined with Lithuanian and Finnish young visual artists. The participants are: Andrius Seliuta, Andrius Gaili?nas, Jurgita Balžekait?, Egl? Nedzinskait?, Alina Melnikova, Deivis Kundrotas, Sebastian Boulter, Hanneriina Moisseinen, Sami Maalas, Anne Savitie, Teemu Takatalo.
Subject of the project are nature and the people. The artists will analyse relation between nature and human, ecological problems in Lithuania and Finland. In the exhibition the young artists will exhibit they visual works, that developed artists attitude on given problems. In the workshop, that will take place in Finland environment (Pispala), the artists will try to familiarize with each country’s ecological problems and translate it into creative plane. To look into Finland and Lithuanian humans viewpoint at the nature, people nearness to the nature. The project aim is invite young Finnish and Lithuanian artists for the further collaboration and to show society ecological problems of Finland and Lithuania with the creative means.
