Hauska Vappu - Vappu piknik tennan Vappupicnic 01.05: Multicultural theatregroup Guguli

Hi there,

we are having a meanwhile traditional "first-of-may"-picnic this year at 1 pm at the Kaupinojan beach (a beach of Näsijärvi close to the Kaupinojan public sauna and Ukk-instituutti. The exact locationand the way there should be possible to investigate in the web). If you are willing to join us: Welcome! Everybody is bringing something eatable and drinkable to add to the general picnic-"table". The picnic is meant to be a open hang-around-event, so it is easy just to come by and join in, meeting new people. If you're in contact with other international or finnish people interested in theatre, music, dance or any kind of art, please take them along!

Guguli is a originally multicultural theatregroup which was found 2001 in Tampere by immigrants and finnish theatre and art-enthusiasts. Our group had a couple of active years with several full-evening plays, performances, exhibitions, musicshows, etc. Unfortunately many of it's original coremembers moved away from Tampere or Finland and others were getting children, so the activity slowed down really much, though the group never ceaced to exist. Last year there has been the performances of "Slow walk" - a experimental intense journey through the multiple aspects of the minds of four women. A new project planned for next winter has started to take first contures. Traditionally Guguli-projects were making use of sonic and visual aspects as well as of movement and dance.

We would like to be a meeting point for all multiculturally minded people regardless of age, religion, sex or nationality. We want to meet people who are involved in arts and interested in doing artprojects of all kind in Tampere and surroundings in order to network and to create something together.
