Co-op Camp
October 12th -14th
A weekend of transdisciplinary events focused on collaboration, cooperation and grass roots organization.
Building on the model of Coop Camp in Tampere, Finland (http://www.hirvikatu10.net/coopcamp), Co-op Camp is an occasion to explore all forms of cooperative practices through informal presentations, workshops, and other activities.
A rich history of cooperative efforts has shaped the Hyde Park neighborhood but these spaces and concepts are often unrecognized by broader society. Co-op Camp is an opportunity for us to explore empowering ways in which we can learn, live and grow as a community.
Our schedule is as follows:
Friday, October 12th at 7:00 pm: Paul Durica on the Hobo College, musical guests TBA
Saturday, October 13th from Noon to ?: An open call for anyone to share their ideas, perspectives, and experiences with cooperative processes. Based on the un-conference model, all presentation methods are welcome including, but not limited to speaking, cooking, construction, game-playing, puppetry, audience participation and/or movement and physical actions.
Sunday, October 14th - 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. Musical guests and workshops TBA.
Times will vary.
If you have any questions, please contact us at info.southsidehub@gmail.com
We look forward to seeing you there!
