Koronarajoitusten tiukentumisen vuoksi (ja kokeilunhalun!) pidän Hirvitalolla 11.12.-30.12. 2021 pidettävän näyttelyni avajaiset LIVESTREAMINA 10.12. klo 18. Paikan päälle avajaisiin ei paitsi tarvitse, niin myöskään toivota osallistuttavan.

“Tyhjentävä katsaus tekemisen prosessiin, väreihin ja sommittelullisiin ratkaisuihin. Voiko asiaa kauniimmin ilmaista kuin tekijä itse: ‘You have to be strong and accurate yourself.’ Näemme näyttelyssäkin esillä olevan Metsäkauris-maalauksen synnyn. Rohkeasti Petri avaa elokuvassaan myös maalausaikaista rajua piristeitten käyttöä. Tässä näytetään kaikki.” Eng., 4min 44s.

“Tekniset ongelmat ovat raikasta 2020-luvun alun ajankuvaa ja välttämätön seuraus tilanteesta, jossa teknologia kohtaa massoittain uusia käyttäjiä. Odotettavissa sporadisesti koko streamin ajan. Streamin liveosuuksien äänenlaatu sisältää häiriöääntä. Sirinä ja humina tietokoneen tuulettimesta muistuttavat meitä ohuesta teknologisesta napanuorastamme, jolla olemme pitäneet pandemian aikana yhteyttä muihin ihmisiin.”

“Exhaustive review of the painting process, colors and compositional elements. Can you put it more eloquently as the maker puts it: ‘You have to be strong and accurate yourself.’ Film shows the creation of the watercolor painting Roe Deer. Boldly Petri exposes also his excessive use of stimulant during painting. This film shows it all.” ENG 4 minutes 44 seconds.

“Technical problems are part of the early 2020’ies zeitgeist, and an inevitable consequence of the situation where telepresence technologies encounter the masses of new, pandemic induced users. This part of the program will present itself sporadically throughout the stream, and may even halt it completely. This technological imperative we will meet tired fatalism and will fumble feebly to correct settings beyond our comprehension. Production values during the live portion are intentionally low to better highlight this thin and failing umbilical we have resorted in order to contact with out fellow humans during the pandemic.” FIN, may contain explicit language, 0 to 30 minutes.
