A theatre course in English

"LET'S STAGE AN ENGLISH PLAY!"

In this course, we form a group named "Shakespeare's Children" and prepare an English play together. We will start by learning basic acting exercises, relaxing and getting familiar with the stage, then go on rehearsing the play. Performances will be at the end of the course. Group gathered in autumn and has chosen a play already: Hamlet by William Shakespeare. However, there is still room for new students: 4 roles are still open for fulfilling, a crucial role for a mail student and 3 small but important roles for females or males.

Shakespeare's Children is a very international, and the atmosphere in the group is warm and very friendly. The group has began at 2003 and has turned out to be a dynamic theatre course that is open to amateurs since then. Many new young people from all over the world (exchange students, workers) have been in the course/group during the years. There is no age-limit to join the course. Shakespeare's Children has performed six plays since 2003: "Lysistrata", "David and Bath- Sheba",

"Death of Xiang Yu", "Midas's Ears", " Dona Rosita", "Peace"and last spring "The Doctor In spite of Himself"

The instructor/director has studied theatre arts in her home country Turkey, but has lived in numerous other countries including England and Ireland. Everyone interested in theatre, take a positive, playful mind with you and welcome!

Performances will be at the end of the course. Fee for the course is 60 euros.
