HELLO NEW VOLUNTEERS, OLD VOLUNTEERS AND POTENTIAL VOLUNTEERS!
As you may know, Pixelache is an annual festival of electronic art and subcultures, taking place at Kiasma, Museum of Contempory Art in Helsinki and various other venues around Helsinki and beyond.
The festival is a non-profit event. Each year Pixelache sends out a call for volunteers to help make the festival happen. Getting involved in Pixelache festival is a unique opportunity to experience a major international electronic art event and to contribute to its success.
The ninth edition of Pixelache Helsinki is coming soon! It will take place during 25-28 March. This year's festival is more diverse than ever. In Pixelache 2010, you'll get to kick start your own window farm, you'll see art made by robots for robots, you'll hear music generated by heartbeats, and a lot more....We are expecting around 100 international guests to join this annual gathering of artists, designers, engineers, researchers, architects, hackers and activists.
3 exhibitions will also open before the festival.

PIXELACHE VOLUNTEER TASKS & BENEFITS
Helping hands are needed during the festival time in basic tasks such as ticket sales, info desk, hosting and transportation, etc. In addition we are also looking for people to help in more challenging tasks - setting up installations and performances, assisting in video documentation, etc.
As a volunteer of the Pixelache festival, you will have the possibility to receive free entry to festival events, meet and connect with interesting people from all over the world, and most of all have fun!
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
If you are interested to participate in Pixelache festival as a volunteer, please contact office@pixelache.ac, explaining a bit about your skills and in what way you would like to be involved, and your availability during the last 2 weeks of March.
We will organise a meeting with all the volunteers in a couple of weeks from now and will send more details concerning this meeting soon.
