Hirvitalo - Pispalan nykytaiteen keskus (Center of Contemporary Art Pispala) is at Hirvikatu 10, which is located opposite the Pispala Library. It’s main aim is to stimulate local cultural activities and enrich all kinds of artistic/cultural happenings in the community.

HIRVITALO is a non-profit that is open to all and for all. Its run by Pispalan kulttuuriyhdistys ry (Pispala Culture Association ry). In the house are exhibition spaces for installations, happenings and other projects on its 3 floors. Its a cosy place that you can just be, do various activities in a drop-in way. There is a kitchen and you will always find friendly folks to have a chat with over a cup of coffee during the day and most evenings.

The yard has enough space to organize outside events and also has permaculture and some small gardens.

Pispalan kulttuuriyhdistys ry was founded February 2006, the main function is to run Hirvitalo. Although it does organize other activities and happenings locally, nationally and internationally. We network internationally to increase cultural activism and support like minded initiatives and projects around the world.
