Hirvitalo – Pispalan nykytaiteen keskus (Center of Contemporary Art Pispala) is located at Hirvikatu 10 opposite to the Pispala Library. It’s main aim is to stimulate local cultural activities and enrich all kinds of artistic/cultural happenings in the community.

HIRVITALO is a non-profit cultural space that is open to all and for all. It is run by Pispalan kulttuuriyhdistys ry (Pispala Culture Association ry). Hirvitalo has space for exhibitions, installations, happenings and other projects on 3 floors. It’s a cosy place where you can just be and do various activities in a drop-in way. There is a kitchen and you can always find friendly folks to have a chat with a cup of coffee during the day and most evenings.

The yard has enough space to organize outside events and there is also permaculture and some small gardens.

HIRVITALO is for idleness and serendipitous creativity! Contact us if you are interested, check out the forum or just drop-out, drop-by or drop-in!

Opening hours Tuesday to Sunday 2 PM to 7 PM. Closed when putting up exhibitions and when no exhibitions are presented.

You can get here by bus 25 (about 10 mins from the central bus station). Get off at the K-market in Tahmela
